Mellow, gracious, and full of fun — Monica was awesome to photograph! I was excited to hear that these photos were meant not only as a gift for her husband, but also as a memoir for herself. She had recently lost weight, and it was touching to hear her story and help capture the start of a new chapter in her life.
I feel fortunate to have met you, Monica! Hope to see you on the Big Island again! 🙂

On my way out I noticed this flower and loved the colors and light. I swear, photography was invented for days like this one!
